My vision

I am an architect and photographer with a deep fascination for the ways in which space, light, and form shape human experience. My journey began with architecture — the art of creating structures that live in harmony with their surroundings — and evolved into photography, a medium that allows me to preserve and share the fleeting atmospheres that define a place.

Working between Shanghai and Hong Kong, I move through cities with an observant, almost cinematic gaze. The interplay of geometry and emptiness, the softness of natural light against sharp architectural lines, the traces of human presence in otherwise minimal spaces — these are the details that draw me in. I see each frame as both a document and an interpretation, balancing precision with emotion.

Photography, for me, is a form of editing reality down to its purest visual truth. My tools vary — from the precision of a Hasselblad X2D 100C to the immediacy of a Leica Q3 — and I also enjoy working with film photography. Whether with a Leica M series or the playful Leica Sofort, I embrace the slower, more deliberate process these cameras invite. They encourage a mindful approach, where each frame is considered rather than rushed, resulting in imagery with depth, texture, and intention.

Beyond aesthetics, my work is rooted in storytelling. Every project — whether photographing a contemporary building, an intimate interior, or a crafted object — begins with understanding its context. I study not just how it looks, but how it feels to inhabit. This sensitivity allows me to create images that are not only visually striking but also emotionally resonant.

I believe that great images invite the viewer to slow down, to notice the quiet rhythms of a place, and to imagine themselves within it. My work is both a personal exploration and an open invitation: to look, think, and enjoy.
